Hey all,

does anyone know if the steering columns are the same in all Gen I SHOs? I have an 89 (no airbag)
and all the u-joints in the steering column are worn out. I priced them years ago from Ford and they were ridiculously expensive. I'm sure that at this point they are probably discontinued. I am thinking that I would be better off trying to find the "newest" used column that will bolt in and hope that the wear isnt as extreme as mine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

ANY 89 tauus will work, most likely a year or two back as well. I have a black one with relatively low mileage if you get toally hung up.

I cannot iamgine you paying mroe than $35 for the whole assembly from a boneyard taurus if u gank it yourself.
