My car has been having issues with starting. When I try to turn the car on it does nothing, no click, crank or any noise at all. It acts as though the clutch is not depressed. Some people were saying it could be my starter, however, I would think that if it was a starter issue it would at least make a clicking noise when I try to start it. This made me think that it might be the clutch sensor (not sure if that's what it's called or not) that is right by the clutch pedal. Could that go faulty, therefore, the car doesn't think the clutch is depressed all the way or at all? Also if I let the car sit for a while, 4+ hours, it USUALLY will start just fine no problems at all.

In a nutshell:

Car will not start after sitting for too short a time.
When trying to start the car it makes no noise (click, crank, etc.)
Could it be starter?
Could it be the clutch sensor or something else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would be willing to bet that its your solenoid. I just had to replace mine last night and i was having the same problem.

Have you ever had the starter replaced? just because it wasnt clicking doesnt mean its not the starter. Id rule out the starter before changing any sensors

Why would a clutch position switch heal itself after 4 hours? I agree, starter solenoid likely culprit. Also verify cables are good an tight, and connections clean.
