I've got a '93 MTX, when I first bought it it had a inconsistent idle so I changed the IAC. This seemed to help for a while, but recently, the idle issues have returned along with stalling whenever the clutch is engaged coming to a stop. Any recommendations or ideas on where to start?

I found the quality of replacement iac valves to be questionable, so its entirely possible that the "new" one you have on there is already sticky. I had one that was so sticky right out of the box that it was unusable.

I had a similar problem with my idle dropping so much the engine would die occasionally. I had previously replaced my IAC not more than a year ago. Replaced it with another Delphi one and that seemed to fix the issue. I also replaced my TPS as well and cleaned the MAF (a code popped up for this)

Just came back from hour drive, the engine died once on the freeway when I took my foot off the gas. It used to die before when I let the clutch out. Pulled codes and nothing there. It went longer than before, so something else must be going on.

The IAC valve does not throw a code
Does the SHO have an uneven idle with a/c off?
Relearn; Warm up the engine-turn engine and a/c off. Disconnect IAC electrical connector. Start engine (may need throttle assistance) allow engine to idle (should read about 800 rpm). Allow to run a few minutes to relearn (base idle). Plug in electrical connector (engine should idle 1000 rpm). If relearned idle is more than 1000 see "tiny set screw" at throttle linkage (adjust accordingly). If engine is surging then IAC needs to be cleaned or replaced with a "quality" and "correct" replacement. This part "is not" interchanfeable with other models "engine specific:"
If your vin code is "Y" see:
