stainless exhaust

i have read that sho's came with a stainless steel exhaust from the factory. i want to know what parts are stainless. is the whole system stainless or only parts of it? on my sho, it looks like the mufflers and tips are stainless but i dont think the rest of it is. the intermediate is developing a leak from which appears to be a rust hole in the middle of the pipe and my y-pipe appears to be rusted some. some info would be great. thanks.

Stainless will corrode over time also, there are also many many grades of stainless that corrode at different rates. Some kinds of stainless are magnetic and some are not. I never tried sticking a magnet on out exhaust but its worth a try. If it won't stick its stainless, if it does it still can be. My exhaust other than the muffs and tips look all shiny too the rest looks a bit rusty. But it would never of lasted 10 years if it were not stainless.

thanks for the reply. so is the cat back portion of the exhaust the only thing thats stainless or is the y-pipe also stainless. just want to know so when i change my exhaust. any recommendations for an exhaust system?
