What's funny was, I had a 2013 PP, very early production. Had the parallel park AND the TC button.
It never displayed "sport mode" after double clicking it. Just traction control off. It did seem to be on Sport mode however, based on my experiences with my 2016 and 2018.
To me, Sport mode is a really nice way to get the electronically controlled apparatus to behave like you had limited-slip differentials. Get one wheel to slip? OK, we'll tame it with the brakes JUST ENOUGH to get it to transfer enough power to the other side to get both to slip together. In other words, helping you to drift.
Anyone remember that commercial for the SHO, where a race car driver was sliding the car sideways on a track? Well, the only time I ever got my 2013 to do that was in Sport mode. Not complete full-off, and certainly not full-on.
But definitely got a good full four-wheel burn sliding sideways. I had a lot of parking lot to help out.
Achieved by accelerating in a straight line, and then turning the wheel to the left slowly until adhesion is destroyed
Funnier still (or not), as I was probably moving at 60-70MPH at this point, as I let off the gas, the car spun around backwards. I'm like... yeah, not liking that PP front sway bar that's thinner than non-PP. Anyway. That, and it's handling in snow, where the rear really likes to come out, always makes me hyper aware the rear likes to slide ...
