SSi tune?

Curious if anyone else has heard about this or has this tune or has seen the YouTube video of the LMS comparison? Claims to be the best around and have the fastest non meth tune for the cars

My only hesitation/question is....
If there is more to be pulled out of the 3.5 Ecoboost with just a tune, why would Unleashed or LMS not utilize it?...
Is there any known long term SSI cars/trucks running around? Do they make the crazy good power all day every day with the same reliability Unleashed/LMS offers?
As most people would probably say... I would love a faster car with just a tune any day! But never at the expense jeopardizing my car..

SSI has a long track record of multiple failures, and badgering those customers who report such experiences.

I know I am not alone in recommending you steer far far away from them. Period.

They make bigger gains because they disable the knock sensors.....so the engine doesn't know it's about to blow up from detonation.

Its comes down to want customers want and how deep there pockets are. Do you want max power and willing to risk the motor, or safe reliable power and drive everyday without issues. I really don't want to bash them, but there track record just SUCKS! Unless you have very deep pockets, stay away.

I run SSi, and you will find a bunch more people who steer you away from them for various reasons, but the biggest is because the second SSi gets mentioned anywhere, we get banned and kicked out. Sooo you won't find a bunch of us with high mileage to talk to. I will say there are plenty of people who have and are running their tunes for lots of miles and safely. I'm sure the guys on here would know, but so far I have not heard of any failures on our platform from SSi. And as far as the knock sensors being turned off, after I ran my 12.28 tune only, I sent a log of that tune to a very well known Unleashed customer to see what I was dealing with. He told me it was actually safer than his Unleashed tune, and was expecting it to be much more on the edge. In fact to the point where he actually has one of the SSi race tunes as we speak. He has verified my story in a couple places that are NOT SSi friendly... Believe me if my sensors were shut off, I would have blown to the sky by now! lol

there are LOTS of super smart car guys on here, and still they allow comments like this, without correcting the fact that this is basically impossible to do and still run, much less race etc. They let this nonsense fly because it is said about SSi. If it was mentioned about one of the other tuners, you would have a page of technical reasons why that doesn't make sense.

It's funny. There is always one or two guys who jump on the ssi tree and that's fine. They say how much they love it. And, again good for them.
The knock sensors getting good turned off came from multiple people blowing motors and looking into the tune and found that. What's also funny is as soon as someone bad mouths ssi they get jumped on, on other pages and called all kinds of homophobic names and get slandered until they leave.....it's especially horrible on the Facebook pages

again, there are lots of guys on here that know tuning, and can and will explain that just because you can't see knock on a log, doesn't mean they are turned off. And I for one don't jump on anyone for bashing SSi. When I wanted to switch my tuner, I was initially turned off by his bedside manner for sure. But I did the smartest thing, and called and talked to the guy. So far best at least tuning decision I have made, and it sucks that the scene has gotten to the point of bashing and banning, because some of us, even though we run SSi actually may have knowledge and value added stuff for others that never gets seen because we get banned! That to me is kind of childish the same as the stuff you are talking about.

fair enough, and you are right about some, not the majority act. It sucks, and it sucks to have to lie, or whatever to just be able to participate on various pages, and forums. So I don't lie, and get banned when they creep my profile, and see who's tune I run. That to me is worse

I do care that you are happy with Unleashed! I ran his tunes on 3 different vehicles! I have no issue at all with him. I just felt there was more to be had, so I switched. Really that simple, and I never bash any other tuner, because I'm not a tuner, and can't do what they do! I have tried about all on various platforms, and I always think if you are satisfied, then no reason to switch. I think I know about your 3800 world comment, as far as knowing who, but I have never been close enough to that scene to know the stories.

Yeah then I'm sure you do. It amuses me he is in the sho community as well. It seems he has avoided letting people find out his past on this side. But he's one of the few almost universally hated guys in 3800s

I just want to thank clubsfit for posting his experience with SSI. Since I know very little about this platform, I like getting to hear from everyone.

Anyone hear about LET tunes? There doesn't really seem to be that many options for us, so it's nice to hear about them all.

As for me, I purchased a tuner from Unleashed and will get a custom tune as soon as I'm done collecting parts. The nice thing with Unleashed, SSI, or LET is, once you buy an SCT, we can get any of their tunes and test them while logging to see what happens.

you are welcome! I have never tried LMS, but they do have the fastest non-meth SHO right now, my car is the fastest without mods, so seems you can't go wrong either way there. Unleashed tune made my car quick for sure, but not giggling quick like SSi made my car. If that makes sense?

The few people I know of who have tried Erick's (LET's) tunes on their SHOs like them. Have no way to compare the performance with any other tuner tho

Anyone hear about LET tunes? There doesn't really seem to be that many options for us, so it's nice to hear about them all.

The YouTube video was a Livernois tune from the SCT device I'm pretty sure...those tunes are years old and not even close to the Mycal tunes...in the videos it also looks like the truck gets the hit vs Livernois tune...makes a difference also.

I'd research the company, call and talk to each one and see what they offer and their professionalism.

Pretty sure SSI is on its 3rd or 4th company name in the last 15 years now...shunned from the 3800 world, Mustang world, Corvette world...long history.

Some are happy, some are actually given free tunes and lists of forums, websites, and Facebook pages to promote on then...

Me personally, I'd only let 3 companies touch my ecoboost...sounds sorta personal...lol
