94 mtx .. front 96 upgrade. making a squeaking noise driver side from dead stop to 15 mph then it fades. Brake had 50% life left and the rotors seem fine. Any ideas how to get the squeak to go away? I have everything ready to do a brake job on the car but I hate to waste the money on it if might be something simple.

sometimes a piece of metal or a small stone will get embedded in the pad, and will squeak until it wears away or comes out.

does it do the same noise if you have the wheels straight, turned left or turned right? often the first sign of a bad wheel bearing is the brake rotor rubbing on the caliper bracket.

It does it when your going straight and turning front or
backwards. I checked the play in the hub and there doesn't seem to be any play. I have the caliber off , I will air hose it out and see if that helps. I will also re torque the bearing nut. It squeaks more after the car sits over the weekend. When I turn the wheel/tire when it's up on jacks it makes the noise at a certain point on the rotor.

Found the culprit, very very thin hair line stress cracks in the rotor. My thought is as the rotor heats up it becomes less of an obstruction on the pad. I have change the rotor out and the noise is gone.
