spoiler coming loose

Has anyone else had problems with 2015 spoiler coming loose. If so how did you fix it.

Yep.

Not terribly common, but others have posted about it.

Not sure on the 2013's and up, however, the 10-12's have four screws fastened by washers/nuts.

Two are on the farthest outside edges. The other two equidistant from there, just closer to the center.

Remove the plastic Christmas tree type fasteners from the trunk lid carpeting. Remove or just hold carpeting away to expose the trunks innards.... then peer up into the openings, and using a ratchet and socket re-tighten as needed.

I did find out later, that in addition to the four screws as noted above, there is double sided, 3M automotive grade tape used from the factory as well, for added security.

Both my 2013 and my 2016 were loose from the factory. Or at least, they were loose shortly after maybe 5K miles. On my 2013, I think there were two nuts loose, and on the 2016, one. Enough to bug the crap out of me when I closed the trunk lid, so I looked for the issue and found the nuts loose.

I ran my 2013 for up to almost 43K miles after I tightened the spoiler a few months after I got it, it never came loose again. I think the Ford guys forgot to tighten some of them.

Having owned many Fords, Chevy's, Chrysler's, and a couple BMW's I would say this car is definitely on the lower side of maintenance required (at least in my experience). On the M3 I used to own they considered rod bearings replaced at 80k miles regular maintenance. Other than fluid changes my SHO has been maintenance free and driven pretty hard.

When I got mine a month and a half ago, I noticed a little water getting into my trunk, and had a rattle when I opened or closed my trunk. Turned out one of the nuts on the driver's side of the spoiler came loose. Just pull the cover back, and a deep socket fixed it right up!

The nut on my driver's side kept coming loose and I would reach up and finger tighten every so often. One day it finally fell off but I found it in the trunk lid carpet. I just slid a lock washer on with the nut and it has stayed tight ever since.

I didn't notice the spoiler being loose, but a little past 100K miles I heard a nut rattling around my trunk every time I opened or closed it. Unpopped the trunk liner and found the nut, it had come off the far right bolt that holds the spoiler. Tightened it down, no Loctite and it's been good for the last 3 years now.

There are push in plastic tabs also on the front of the spoiler that mine doesn't really hold tight. I am figuring a fix for this.
