Currently I have the MTX out of the vehicle for a clutch, I also noticed that it leaks at the case halves. I did see a procedure on Shophoenix on removing the case halves. All I want to do is reseal the halves nothing else. Is there anything to worry about falling out once the case half is removed?

There are only two things - a little ball and spring as you separate the halves, and the bearing races and shims that are on the half that you are pulling off. If you don't lose the ball/spring, you'll be okay.

Also, to retain the bearing races I used strong beryllium rare earth magnets outside of the case. Three super strong 1/2" cubes (one for each race) make reassembly SOOOO much easier.

On the sealant, use anaerobic sealant and only anaerobic sealant on the ******. Anything else will cause a failure.

In addtion to the help ful posts above, clean the case halve mating flanges very carefully using brake cleaner. Clean fresh metal contact is what activates the aneorbic sealer.
