Here is a picture I mocked up to show everyone how I held the spinning washernut on my 93MTX yesterday. They grey that I added is a drawing of a tire iron holding the nut with the bolt supplying leverage against the uptunred lip of the washernut. The hole was cut some time ago by the last sucker (me).

I had my brother work the rachet while I applied force to the tire iron; definately a 2 person job.

i had to do the same thing when i dropped the subframe on my old 92. had a buddy use a large pry bar to hold the captured nut (which had become uncaptured). when i reinstalled it it was with a recall kit so it was a piece of cake.

Yep, that works also. This method saved my a$$ as I had to get it back together without new hardware - not recommended.
