I will note that rarely does anything actually happen to this internal gear even though it is made of plastic. Unless of course there is more damage to the internals of the transmission(beth)
How often do you run accross something like this? Is here any other methods of removing this gear? The screw driver started to bend in half(craftsman) and I tryed to make a kinda hook to pull it out and that didn't work. I would rather take the tranny out myself but i don't know what i am getting involved in. Is it really bad or could I do it?
Beth i guess you are the only one that responed to the question about the gear spinning freely in and out of gear? Does and one know if it's suppost to?
