speedo off from rims and tires?

if i put on 17 inch rims with 240 55 17 won't the speedometer be off?

If the over all diameter is smaller or bigger than stock then the speedo will be off.

Edit: Couldn't use 240 on this one, didn't know they made it. But you're probably actually driving 3-5mph faster than you think at "60mph" on the speedo. Careful :wave:

Yeah, that is a good one. The miata.net calculator used to be a Java applet and was almost like that one, but without the offset. That's going in my bookmarks, thanks.

I was gonna keep it secret and try to fit some crazy wheels on the SHO but that ain't happening anytime soon Enjoy :wave:

On that note Ferrari Modena wheels are 5x108 and they'll apparently clear the suspension but they'll stick out like no body's business Maybe not the fronts so much though...
