It's a 91 SHO
OK so the niddle jump while I'm driving looking at mine gps is seas tham im doing 65mph and the niddle is jumping between 30-40mph.
I've checked the bable coming out of the dash at all the connectiong pionts, one behind the dash and two under the hood.
I dont see anything wromg with it.
Is there a sensor that I'm missing or that might be messed up?
I thought it didnt need a sensor sence it has a cable running from the tranny to the dash.

I need HELP !!

I'm trying to sell the car and I need to fix the glitches !!!

Sorry for the spelling SPEEDOMETER

This happened to me one time when my mechanic did a clutch job for me. All I did was pull the cable out of the tranny and reset it again, problem solved. If that doesn't work, pull the cable out of the tranny and put some silicon **** down in it as it might be hanging up and causing it to jump all over;)

Just any old liquid silicon **** spray, I mean I suppose wd40 wuold work but silicon is probably better. Not thick stuff, this way it will run down the cable inside. Also spray it in the cable, not the transmission, hold the cable up in the air and let it run down the cable and put it back on, and don't be afraid to put to much.;)

The speedo is driven by the cable, I think the sensor is for the computer only not the actual dash but I could be wrong.

25.99- SHO Vehicle Speed Sensor- MTX

can be found here:

The only other thing I can think of is it fell off the other end a little or wasn't put back on all the way or maybe you pulled it a little and it came off a bit or something. But it's possible it isnt on all the way on the instrument cluster side, or even the connection between the 2 cables (the speedo cable is in 2 pieces).
