I live about 10 miles from SPEC's warehouse and manufacturing building. I have used these with a LOT of success. I'd suggest you shop around, get your best possible price and then pm me. I'll see if Ican beat it for you. I often call them up, place an order, pick it up on my lunch break and ship it out the next morning. I'm not 100% certain but if SPEC makes a flywheel for your car I can get those also...package deals usually have more room for discount.

Wow, what's the average discount you receive on these, or can pass along?

This is something a lot of us guys may consider.

Too bad I just purchased a FiberTuff, though. :frown:

Youll be happy with the fibertuff. Mate it up to a HD pressure plate and your set. :thumb:

Yeah, the main reason I bought it was because it will actually fit on my Fidanza insert, unlike most clutch disc, and is said to withstand a good shot of nitrous. Hope it goes well, I have a buttload of work ahead of me to do with that 89 [gears, clutch, rod shifter, and strut/spring]! :nut:

you do not want to fit that 9-puck with a fidanza. Ive heard bad bad things about using such a combo. The fibertuff disc actually wears the STEEL.

I have a 9-puck fibertuff with a HD pressure plate, and a 17lb steel flywheel.

Geez, I better go read up on the horror stories. I didn't plan on putting the stocker back in [still have it]. :frown:

Thanks for the heads up, Kenny.

The amount of discount varies per vehicle. It also varies based on how many they have on hand, how long they've been sitting, etc.. Typically when I do clutchh/flywheel conmbo's for the protege community they are about $150off give or take.

if you guys are interested in a group buy on SPEC pieces let me know exactly what you want and I will get you volume pricing and ship everything myself at my cost only. I've run several real successfull GB's in the past on my own forum at no profit to myself. I usually just end up getting in better with the manufacturer so if I need anything down the road I call in a favor!

My SHO has a new clutch in it so I won't be in but if there is enough interest for a GB let me know and I'll get you $$ info.

p.s. also let me know where you guys shop around for these items so I can get an idea of just how much they are actually discounting the price.

I've submited an email proposal with prices to the forum admin for a GB on SPEC hardware. Pending approval everything is ready to go.

p.s. Is there any interest in having a stainless braided clutch line made for these cars? I have a friend that makes them (very good work) and all I'd need is a OEM clutch line and about 3 days and I'd have them ready to ship back to you guys. This is kinda a one time deal though.

I usually looked up on the SPEC website, or SPMotorsports(IIRC), they had the same pricing.
