I have a 2015 Ford Taurus SHO NON SONY edition and this is what I have installed so far.

I installed kickers in the doors and tweeters.

What i currently have:
4 Channel Amp-Speakers
2 Channel Amp-Subs
4 Rockford Fosgate punch
2 Kicker tweeters
2 Pioneer Shallow 8" Subs going in the rear 6x9 spots
Audio Control LC7i six channel line output converter instead of the PLC (This is what I need help installing)

Okay so now that you know what I have, here is what I need help with. I have the NON Sony edition and I apm not sure where to install this at. To my understanding is I can install it in the trunk on the drivers side well atleast that is where people install the sony edition one. So is that where the amp is on the NON Sony edition? If not where does this go? Also I need the wiring diagram for thhe 2013-2015 SHO NON Sony edition so I can install the Audio Controller. I will post pictures of my build as i go so others can see how I have done my build.

Any help will be well appreciated. I look forward to this build and cant wait to get started so it will be great if I can get answers quick.

Thank you all in advance.

You ever get this done? Looking at either lc2i or lc7i myself. Not sure where the best place is to tap it.

Sorry about the delay been off the grid for a while.

For the 14 SHO I had my stereo system installed at Car Toys. I did the center one myself just to reduce the risk and liability to C/T.

If anyone needs photos or tech assist send me PM with email address.

NON SONY......Lower front corners of doors

NON SONY PREMIUM SOUND.............Doors, two A Pillar Tweeters and center instrument panel

SONY (Limited/SHO ONLY) Same as NON SONY Premium Sound Plus Rear Deck. Two 6X9 outers and 3.5 Center. The 6X9 outers are the SUBS and the AMP is trunk left side wall. Peel back carpeting and pretty obvious. I got a Kicker AMP but left the OEM AMP in place.

SHO HARD....You are a rare one SHO NON SONY model. Marketing figures most people that can get SHO usually get SONY with it.

For most models and I can say from experience that changing speakers alone will be a very good head start towards sound improvement, The Stereo system overall is pretty good, the weak link is and as a lot of models. The weak link is the cheap speakers. For those of you thinking SONY has better speakers....NO more Expensive due to the SONY LOGO but not better. Also if you change tweeters I would strongly recommend BASS BLOCKERS. This will isolate the low and mid frequency scales from blowing the tweeters.....ASK ME HOW I KNOW........ You plug the BASS BLOCKERS to the Positive of the Tweeter inline but BEFORE the Positive of the front speakers. Then the Positive of the door speakers to the normal wiring harness to the stereo. The OEM fronts have the crossover installed but for $10-15 a set probably easier to just add and start fresh with totally new speaker set up.

For the Center Instrument panel this is a weird one. You will probably definitely want some photos of my install here is the logic, The aftermarket 3.5 although some may fit as a easy drop in plug and play they are usually not much if at all better than the OEM center you are removing. If you want to replace the center with a decent three way like the Kickers I used then there will be a bit of minor trimming. Basically take the speaker on its side and slowly fit it in the opening. You will have to take a Dremel tool and very gradually trim away the plastic on the opening at about the 4 to 5 o clock position Insert Speaker and twist to line up the mounting holes. I used two anchor clips, washers, machine screws and gradually tightened the screws by drawing the anchor clips UP to tighten.

The logic is the decent aftermarket speakers especially three way with the center dome will be too high to fit the speaker grille on correctly. Yes the fit of the center speaker is that tight so fitting the speaker UNDER the plastic makes the difference. Trust me I replaced center speakers on three post 2010 MY Taurus.

Awesome start from both of you. Thank you. Another question I have is are all of the signals going to the speakers full range signals? I'm looking for a place to tap my lc6i and I need a full range signal. Where would be the best place? What are the door speaker sizes? I've heard conflicts between 6x8 and 5x7. Is there 3 or 4 speakers in the back? Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Looks like only 2 in the rear. The other two in the rear have a dotted box and police designation at the top right.

As for full range. I don't know what this term means to you.

What I will say is if you want the sync audio (comands and prompts) chimes and radio audio amplified you're only going to get it after the ACM. So that conector view I provided is where you're going to splice in.

C212 not going to work. You don't have the center channel there

When I say full range, I mean a signal that is not filtered or crossed over. The lc6i needs a full range signal. Is the ACM in back or behind the radio? What size are the door speakers?

The Audio Control Module is the radio. The buttons you see are part of what's called a Front Control Interface Module. The ACM is also the c.d. player. Remove the fcim and the ACM is behind.

I don't know what size the speakers are. Removal of the door panel will tell you. :) that's the best I can do.

IIRC, you want to tap into one of the rear door speakers for full range. I believe it has been discussed in other threads. The "subs" in the rear are not full range and I do believe they have a crappy cross over point/

All Doors 6X8 Primary that will be pretty much a plug and play replacement. 5x7 will also fit with the existing speaker basket. Those are the two that are about the closest to Direct fit Plug and Play replacement. 6.5 and I believe 6.75 will fit but most likely need a trim ring adapter. I used Kenwood speakers for doors and Kickers for the Subs and conveniently since they are sold as a set of two One for center instrument panel and one for center rear deck. 3 1/2" Kicker I know for fact based on previous installation that 5X7 AND 6X8 will fit in the existing speaker basket. Remember the crossovers or BASS Blockers for front.

We discussed size but for type I used a full range LOW/MID/HIGH on the doors and center. The SUBS were Kickers 6.5 or 6.75 I believe when I get back I will check the exact model.
