does anyone know about autolite platinum spark plugs? someone told me they're the same as motorcraft

I think they will work just fine, however the head is about 1/16" taller than the stock motorcraft plug so fitment of the plug wire on the valve cover is not going to be perfect. However, you may be able to swap heads from the OEM plugs to get them down to the proper size.

I ithnk Prophet is running them and has not had any issues with them, and at about $3 a pair at wal-mart I question my own judgement of buying the fine wire motorcraft plugs...

I've got 6 Autolites in the wifes 95. and 6 Motorcrafts in my 90 and so far the plug wires both fit fine. They seal perfectly and I can't tell the difference between the two until I get the cash register.

I just changed my plugs with the Autolite platinums Tuesday night. Noticed no problems at all. I got lucky and was able to change the plugs without removing the intake. Took all of 45 minutes.

Do you know the part number off hand? I may have to try these...

No, I don't know the part number off hand. Look them up on AZ, or just go into any parts store and ask for them by application.
