spark plug gap

I am replacing my spark plugs and dont know what to gap them at. Anyone know?

.042" - .046" is what is listed in the owners manual. See page 181 of the 1998 manual.

Be sure to check the gap on the new plugs. The MotorCraft FW plugs come with a +.050" gap.

Well, i put bosch platinum plugs gapped at .050. seems to run fine with them. I think i still have a coil going bad, just cant figure out which one it is.
