if you have the 13" brake upgrade with 17" rims, what kind of spare tire would fit in case you get a flat?

You would have to buy another 17in. wheel. Or just keep a case of tire slime in the trunk!

yeah get a case LOL....... I can just fit a stock sized tire and wheel into my spare tire space... Id rather have that then a donut.... It comes up a little high but Im not too worried about looks back there. The spare I use now is a 205/70/14 and it is almost too tall to fit down in there properly(its a tight squeeze), so the smaller diameter you go from stock, the better off you will be. If you had a 225/45/17 size tire or such I think it would work out pretty good.

Just get a 16" spare.

If you get a flat in the front, move one of the rear wheels up front and put the spare on the rear. Donuts are fine, although even when they'll fit over the front brakes I still don't like them up front on a FWD car.

OH you didn't know
Try to find a newer Windstar spare(I think they are 16"). I've seen some spares that are 17", maybe Volvo, I'm not 100%.

Bolt the spare on backwards, it'll stick out.

I believe I read somewhere that the newest thunderbirds had 17" spares.

Well if you only have front 13s, then I would go with the regular spare, and just put the 17" in front if it is a front flat, (then it wouldnt pull or drive that weird either).. I have a ful set of 13s going on my car, so I'm pretty sure I'm SOL unless I find a donut 17", Or I'l have to have a full sized 17 in there, from a volvo or something.
