I searched and found one topic, but it didn't help too much. Does anybody know a manufacture that makes a product similar to Dynamat? Dynamat is so expensive, there has to be an alternative. anybody know?

I think it is v1SE². Easy to install and sticks pretty good.

I've got some of the v4 here too, but never got around to putting it on the car.

Thanks for the link. Does this stuff work pretty well or just so-so? I want to do my whole car, but I want to make sure I am spending money on something thats worth all the time and money.

I ask because i think i bought regular v1 and had the issues that alot of people had with it falling off.

A friend of mine had his v1 fall off also. No problems with the SE, but I cleaned the surfaces and made sure it was stuck on good.

We just switched from using Dynamat to this stuff made by 3m. 3m stuff goes for 22.00 for 6 12 x 12 sheets. i have not noticed a difference so far between the dynamat and 3m but have not checked with decibal meter.

On my sho I used a ceramic spray for the roof. It applies with a spraycan and has a water light soap cleanup. Once dried is is like a ceramic plate keeps panels from vibrating. I really liked it, but haven't seen any in years

This is a link to Cascade Quite KoteCascade Quiet Kote

EDIT: I have used this before, but It is not the ceramic that I am still looking for. Quiet Kote is a black material you spray on that stays flexible.. not the ceramic. I will update when found.

Carpet Pad, :laugh_ti: Yeah it sound pretty redneck-ish, but i actually did this in an old car. I used the good stuff, it looks kind of like bubble wrap, I cut it to fit in the back tray with the rear speakers. Work pretty well, probably not as well as the real thing, but very cheap.

I can't remember the exact name, but there was a product called Brown Bread, I think.

When I was really into car audio about 10 years ago, it was a very good dynamat substitute.

I used the B-Quiet Ultimate from http://http://www.b-quiet.com/, which is the replacement for brown bread. It works well; stays stuck even in the Arizona summer heat, and my trunk is rattle free despite the subs best efforts. Looks like it is equivalent to, but more expensive than the v1SE².
