Ok heres the story, i was at the car auction and i wanted this saab 9000T, well they got to it and the auctioneer ignored my bid and said `sorry` after it was done, so then they get to this SHO, and i figure...wouldn't be bad, problem is i didn't look at it during viewing, and about 10 minutes before that, my girl got ****** at me and was waiting in the truck, so i bid on the sho, won and left immediatly. all i know about it is that it's red, it's a 1989 SHO, it's a 5spd, and has leather, and when they tried to start it, it starts and `drove` which to them is `it fired up and moved forward 1' and back 1'. i know nothing else about it, any insight or tips you guys can give me when i go to pick it up tomarrow? heres a pic of it

www.shotimes.com - Very good site, with "What to look for when buying a used SHO, as well as topics on Maintenance & Modifications"

All I can really say until you get it (sounds like you already bought it, so this isnt a "should or i should i not get it") is hope you did'nt pay too much.

Enjoy and hopefully it runs good, Let us know

i got it for 180$ (with auction fee), and no it's not a question of if i should buy it, it's mine wether i want it or not, just wondering if there was anything i should check immediatly, but i'll just toss it on the trailer and play with it when i get home, and update the post then.

Yeah take it home and inspect it etc. Thats a good price. Take some pics and post if you want.

Pull the plugs and see if they are dripping with oil.

It is tough to lose on $180. You might spend $3 million getting it back to 100%, but you could part it out for at least $600-1000 worst case (we have 3-4 at any one time running around the property).

By the way, if you are not already a member http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sholist is the local club. We have a track day this Thursday 9/9? at PIR, come out and meet some of the group.
