I didn't want to steal a certain someone's thunder...but a did run some 12.20s at 111 with 60fts in the 1.7 range which is new bests for me. Inching down there slowly but surely....I think it has an 11 in it before winter

The track wasn't there tonight.. Your car spun all the way through 1st and chirped second hard. I think it definitely has more in it..
We had a car there that has been 9.30's that was going 10.20's and the Shelby I drove should have been quicker than 10.30 @ 145.. Oh well, it was a fun night!

Nice! congrats guys! So Rick, your car, a non-PP, has a Corsa, HR springs and a tune and it ran 12.79!? Is it a special tune you are running or one of the stage we are using? What were the conditions? cool, not humid, tail wind? I have a similar setup with my car, plus I have the Airaid intake and my exhaust has 3rd cat and resonator deleted and an X-pipe... I would like to see what my car could do at your track... I regularly get over 108mph and in the 12.9's but never got under 12.9s...
I am heading to Pont-Rouge, about 2 hours North East of Montreal, closer to Quebec city this Saturday and will be trying my car on that track for the first time. My uncle has a 73 Cuda with 800+hp at the wheels and told me it was the best track in the province of Quebec, so I am really looking forward to seeing what it can do. The forecast is temp in the mid 60's, sunny and little front winds... I am hoping to go in the 12.8's... BUT I NEED TO TALK TO YOU OR DAN TOMORROW PLEASE!!!

You are correct about our car and the mods. It's the same stage 4+ you have with torque management.
We had a track rental with about 40 customers and their guests. It was cool, but there was a bit of a headwind and the track wasn't prepped like normally.

Wow, that is encouraging then, I guess our cars have the potential to see the 12.6's with current setup...

... but I just went to see the weather, I believe you are going to Milan drag strip in Michigan and it seemed to be a very cool night for this time of the year... around 40F! If they would only have prepped the track with some glue, you could have seen 12.6's and Darreli maybe the 11's!!! That gives you the motivation to go back in October and make sure they will have put glue... G/L!

Guilty as charged with a 13.04 with 1.8 60ft time. Was hoping to clock a 12 second run, but wasn't in the cards for me. To much wheel spin, going to have to practice launching differently. Or just let Dan drive it.

Good show, I wish I was nearby! Are your tires used or recent? I know the minute I bought my new summer tires, the car that used to spin until second gear (including a chirp) was able to launch without a spin even when brake/torquing at around 2000rpm...
Might be a good investment if you want to go in the 12's... Good luck!

There the stock Michelin's about 5000mi. Got the same non pp car that Dan has with same mods. And I believe his tires are stock also, says the tune is the same. But we will never know.

5K is not a lot... I guess the all-season tires just don't grip as much as summer tires... BTW, are Dan and Rick both driving a SHO, or do they share the same when they go to the track?

The SHO is a shop car that Dan daily drive, but I take it home or to the track from time to time.
I typically have a summer DD and winter DD. I've had a Mustang GT, Mustang GT convertible, 2 Saleen Speedsters, a Cobra Convertible, a Corvette, and a Corvette Convertible that I DD'd in the summer.
The Corvette convertible had Livernois heads/cam, headers, exhaust, CAI, and 4.10 gear and still got 32 mpg on the expressway. I drove it 2-3 hours to northern Michigan all the time and even from MI to FL and back... that car was fun, then I got hit by a semi in it.
At that time, I drove shops cars a lot and said I wasn't going to buy another car like that and bought a new Cobalt SS turbo... we tuned it the day I got it and it ran 12.99 :woo-hoo: I took home a different shop car nearly every day in the summer and had a few different winter DD's.
I sold the Cobalt a few weeks back and am considering another Corvette. For now, I'm just going to get a winter DD and decide what I want to buy.
