ok, i know there have been numerous lpm questions and i've searched, but i haven't found the answers i wanted. so i was hoping you guys could help me out.

what do you tell ted b when you want your chip? do you just tell him the year of your sho or what? do you give him specifics?

what would be the better choice, the ted b lpm or the tweecer?

would the power gains be greater with a different maf, or would they be pretty much the same as the stock maf?

what is the best maf to run with the lpm for greater power gains?

thanks in advance guys!

You tell him year and tranny. If you can get the computer info that would help as well.

Tweecer by far.

The gains would be around 5-8hp or so. With an LPM you may have to do a dyno with A/F ratio for Teb to get the most out of it as sometimes the MAF can be weird.

80mm MAF from a Mark8.

Tweecer would be better in the long run as you can change what you want, when you want it. However, if you're not quite sure what you're doing. An LPM may not still be a bad choice. If you dyno the car with a/f, you can mail that to Ted with your LPM and he can adjust accordingly. But, no it will not be a 100% accurate tune.

yea but a tweecer is pretty much pointless unless you have a laptop, right?

so you guys are saying i would have to get my car dynoed first and what is this a/f thing.... sorry about my newbness.

the lpm works best with the 80mm maf?

Air/fuel ratio. Once Ted sees your dyno sheet he can "fill in the blanks"

The tweecer is alot of learning. Not saying you cant do it, but an LPM is just a quick plugin

As far as using the Tweecer, its pretty much the same as what Ted B. is going to do. But, the advantage is that you can do it yourself, on the fly. But, you need to learn what does what first. Its kind of a steep curve as you dont want to just jump in and start changing things. Say you're running rich or lean. Yes, there is a table to change that, but you need to find out why you're running rich or lean first, fix that issue, and then adjust accordingly.
