To start out, I'm putting an MTX-IV into my 2006 Taurus. I am too far along to turn back and I have a question about trans mounts. I have a new trans mount for a Gen1 SHO and it is just wrong in all ways for me to use without cutting it all up and changing it completely. I had thought about modifying the '06 trans mount but the rubber cushion is too big in diameter to allow proper clearance with the body of the car. I was wondering if a solid trans mount would be ok to go with? The two lower engine mounts on the passenger side of the engine are in good shape as is the upper "dog bone" engine torque strap. The trans mount I have to fabricate is on the driver's side of the engine/trans and the easiest and quickest way I can see to do it is to just go solid.

I found a Gen 3 subframe swap thread with good pictures on how to do the trans mount. I'm going to go with the gen 1 mount.
