If someone has an old broken soft button EATC laying around, send it to me. I'll pay the shipping. shoot a PP invoice to [email protected].

I want to explore button replacement. Maybe solid acrylic

I'm hitting the pick & pull soon, if the have some busted ones, I can just pop the faces off and ship them in a padded envelope for you... Would that work?

Some people have added epoxy to the back of the buttons before they completely crack. I was going to do this, but I got a hard button instead. I plan on keeping my soft button because I have every button still on with small cracks on some buttons.

Was at the p&p today, nothing of consequence there. The only one I saw had all of the buttons missing. Not punctured- missing. Then they carefully put the face back on.

Why?

Tell ya what (anyone).

Send a paypal request to me at [email protected] for the amount of shipping to 48126, I'll pick the lowest one and that member will get their old EATC back when I have fixed it (if I don't totally botch it and ruin the sucker). Oh, and the sooner I get it, the sooner I can get crackin' (pun intended).
Maybe I'll even carve them out of mahogany.

Anyone got a source for itty bitty letters to embed in the acrylic? Nevermind the itty bitty letters...got it worked out.

first thing that comes to mind for me is the decals/paint i use for model railroading. could work perfect. however, i wonder how long it would last before rubbing off - unless a ton of clearcoat protects it
