soft brake pedal

From what chris has told me before, the car didn't brake well before he started and there were too many variables to start with before troublshooting down to the exact problem. The car has had a bit of a rough life and we are working our way down the line. I do know from the night I helped him that the MC and reservoir make a lot of clicking and girggling noises.

We have bled over a quart of fluid through the system. If you feel inclined Chris, loosen the lines on both ends of each SS line and re-tighten. I will have an ABS tool tomorrow and will bring it down to run on your car. I want to flush my system soon too so it will come in handy for me too.

I asked my dad about it and he said it stopped alright but it was very...noisy. the fastest I've ever gone in it is 5 mph and I've had the damn thing for almost a year... although you'd figure a good MC would be able to keep me from running into the front of the garage when I forgot I had a third pedal to work. It was crawling along and it sounded like it was gonna stall out at any moment but it kept on going and I kept on pushing the brake.

well I just located where my weezing sound is coming from. it's coming from down around the ABS pump. but what I don't get is why it is only letting air out and it doesn't seem to be leaking any fluid. and since air is getting out it only makes sense that air is getting back into the system. but I don't understand how air is getting into the fluid if it is only letting air out...

EDIT: one other thing that I found was that the hose leading to the ABS reservior didn't have the compression clamp in the correct position. It was just sitting on the hose and not clamping it to the reservior.
