SHO-MAN

Well, after a great weekend of doing nothing but washing, waxing and cleaning the new 2017 SHO ...got up Monday morning, walked outside, opened the garage and admired the gleaming black ride...excited to break the first 100 mile mark on the odometer... Get inside and take a deeeeeeeeeep breath of that cherished new car smell....mash the break and press "start".. Hmmmmm (thinking to myself) I didnt realize my new SHO was an electric Hybrid...I can't seem to hear the engine running....in fact all I hear is the dreaded "click click" and a fading chime sound...OH CRAP...Is the battery dead? I wait 5 minutes and try again...this time no sounds at all...just a faint message on the display stating "Power saving mode enabled" ...now what. Wife already left and I need a jump. Worst part is, my project car is parked next to me with a dead battery too...thinking I'm going to have to call Trip A to jump the SHO...hopefully they have xtra long jumper cables or a portable jumper....since the car is in the garage.
So finally got the SHO jumped and it is running like crap...hesitating, check engine light "on" and the door chime won't shut off...OMG..the car only has 63 miles on it...after limping it about 6 miles to the ford dealer (I didn't buy it from.. Story for another day) and listening to the service manager tell me that I must have left the car on all weekend...(gritting my teeth) saying no I know how to turn the car off . Then the Sevice manager telling me I must leave it there for them to look at. So I leave the SHO and get into the 2014 focus their letting me use (oh boy!!) for I assume a day. So then I get a call about mid afternoon and its Scott, the service tech telling me my battery is dead and their are 12 other engine codes associated with loss of the battery including 4 codes on the transmission he doesn't know why their showing up... "We'll get you squared away and clear the codes" Scott ensures me...car should be ready by the end of the day...get to the dealership to pick up the SHO and ...mash the break and press "start" .....uh......nothing...again repeat ....nothing...battery is dead again . Now frustrated, I go see the service manager and tell him to start the car. Rolling his eyes, takes the key and starts educating me on how to start the car. I told him I traded/owned a 2010 SHO and I'm very familiar with the model..(a-hole). He proceeds to attempt to start the car ....and nothing...and I quote" I don't understand, all codes have been cleared and new battery installed. We will have to keep the car and continue to check it out...UGH... Get into the focus and go home....well today I received a call from the technician...it seems the transmission doesn't recognize when the car is shifted into park and apparently the car stays on. ... Remedy dismantle the shifter and replace. We think!!!
Well there goes that new car smell, shiney interior...I hope this doesn't open up Pandora's box. I guess it Karma...I really didn't need a new car ....bought it because I dint want to spend the money on new tires and brakes...DAMN!
