Back in Michigan ... again.
Anyone planning to go? I'll be up north Fri morning for the races, staying in ******* friday night then hitting the rest of the races on Saturday.

If you've never been: http://www.sno-drift.org

Free to watch, and it has a real grass-roots atmosphere. When the cars are in service you can walk around at will, talk to drivers, etc. Depending on where you go you can get pretty close to the racing action as well.

Considering it's a 3 hr drive from Detroit, it makes for a great racing getaway. As long as you can take the cold!

I should advise you that we'll be driving out to stages on roads that are snowcovered at best, unplowed two-track seasonal roads at worst. Last year my cohorts and I were literally plowing snow getting to some of the stages. Also, this is snowbelt country so squalls are expected. We had a hard time last year getting back to ******* on the main roads, never mind getting out of the stages.

Not to discourage you, just want you to be prepared. I wouldn't recommend attending on anything less than good all-season tires.
