I installed the reverse glow gauges on my 93 atx. The gauges light up fine and all, but during the install i accidentally burnt out the small light bulb that lights up the head light switch on the top left of the dash. I couldnt find a replacement so i left it.
Just now i noticed that my EATC buttons dont light up, the screen does, but the buttons dont. Neither do my "P/R/N/D " panel next to the shifter, and neither do the mileage digits and trip distance digits on the gauge cluster. Thing is, i never even touched the EATC, and the only light bulb i burnt out is the one for the head light switch which i mentioned. I wired the gauges to the clock, and the clock lights up fine.
Also i noticed that on the brigtest setting, when turned to blue, the gauges make a very very light humming sound, anyone have that happen?
Anyone have any dieas why this is? I checked the fuses, and theyre all fine (the fuse for the eatc button is the same one as the clock and radio buttons, but the clock is fine though)

Recheck fuse #13. The clock will run in the day time and should dim when the headlights are turned on (will not light at all when the lights are turned on/or will not dim). The light blue/red wire is the circuit that controls all the lights you described and is attached to fuse #13. Check the fuse VERY closely, it can be burned and still look good. The EL gauges will hum.

You should have wired it into your fog lamps (the blue and red wire), this is the best way to go. The problem is you wired it into the clock.

Mine makes a LOUD humming when switched to blue too. Its very annoying.

The blue and red wire you speak of is the one I mentioned was connected to fuse 13. When doing the 'fog light' mod, that is where the power comes from so that you can turn on the lights with the parking lamps. The wire he shorted out is the EXACT wire/circuit you just spoke of ;)

i took a bunch of those small bulbs from the junkyard, since they are hard to find and they seem to burn out quite often since the switch is lit up everytime you start your car.
