well today we had our "7th" slush series event. (it was technically only the 6th, due to one being cancelled). we had BEAUTIFUL weather all day long, with a high of 13*C. I was FINALLY able to use the falkens in the warm and dry.
The course was a very straight-forward and simple layout with a slalom-esque theme in a loop. it allowed for some high speeds and a LOT of choices in lines. When i was working the course, I saw tons of variations on the slaloms and sweeper sections. I managed a best of 48.6 I think it was, and the top time in my group was a 46.6, and he was running hoosier r-compounds. The rest of my times for the day were 49.1-ish, so at least there was some consistency. However, my driving was consistently bad with lots of time to be "saved". haha

up next? some cheap, 2nd hand r-comps, if i can find them. haha (anyone know of anyone wanting to get rid of some 225/45 (or 50,55)/16 r-comps for cheap?)

(My first run of the day)

most definately! and, I'm improving in the standings. I came in at 59th out of 97 in indexed times, and 46th in RAW times. MUCH better than before. :thumb:

Like i mentioned before, I was only 2 seconds behind the group leader in SM, who was running hoosiers. I think with more seat time and r-comps myself, the SHO can be fairly competitive (at least locally) in Street Mod class.

Nice to see another SHO autocrossing around here. I have shifted to a Miata, but I still have the SHO and I might need to come over to Pitt Meadows for some fun this spring.

Thanks! I like them too. Light, reasonably wide, perfectly priced. :thumb:
I'm running tokiko and eibachs, but the tires are 45 series, so it looks like i have more wheel-gap than normal. I'm surprised at how little body roll there appears to be in the photos. I'd removed everything from the trunk, as well as the rear seats (every little bit helps!). the car felt much lighter than normal though.

And Bob, you should come out. we don't get many high speed courses due to the size of the pad, but its a nice venue (when its not raining). I won't be around in the spring (i'll be donning the Red Serge)
