The VMP brand HPX MAF sensor will support 600+RWHP in a 3" tube. Some other sensors will peg at 400-500RWHP when used in a 3in tube. The sensor is recommended for high horsepower blow through applications. This is an 05+ Ford slot style MAF. This is a direct bolt in for 05+ Fords, older cars will require a ****** and pigtail. I am including the pigtail connector and a ****** that is welded into a 4" piece of tubing.

I tried to tune my car with this MAF. But, couldn't get the airflow smooth enough without changing my existing air intake piping. The MAF was on the car for less than one hour. The MAF retails for $199. The ****** and pigtail connector retail for $39.99 each. All yours for $180.

On a side note , did you get the MAF curve from Josh to put it in your chip/tweecer?

In mine , it runs smooth as a champ.

GLWS this is a good deal.

My problem is the piping. I'd have to replace everything between blower and the throttle body to use the MAF properly. It's better than the the MAF I have. But, the MAF I have works with the existing piping. And, after getting it tuned, the car is a powerhouse. So, I decided to just leave it alone.

This is what it looked like minus the actual MAF. It's smooth from the outside. But, the diameters of all three pieces are different. And, the airflow was rough.

Ah, just like mine. I didn't think that would be a good spot, so I'm welding one of their flanges in the last straight section before the turn to the TB. I am also moving the BOV further down the pipe and putting the correct size ****** on it to make it more effective. The SHO Shop ****** has a much smaller opening where the ****** Is currently mounted.

I've always hated the driveability on this car, so we'll see how that works.

Mine used to suck to drive. But, since James put in the SouthBend and I got it tuned it's great. I drove it to and from the convention with no problems. Boiled my oil at VIR and the car didn't even care. It's perfect now and I don't wanna touch it for fear of screwing something up.

Mine just gets touchy when I start to crack the throttle. I don't know if yours is the same, bit the way SHO Shop put the ****** one my piping, it just cant move enough air from being chocked down.

I haven't had that problem. I can (and do) floor it at any RPM without hesitation. And, it makes power past 8k. But, I don't chance that often

I'm pretty sure his setup, like mine, was full of turbulence. It's also a bit different when your compressor is always trying to force air down the engine.

I will be using a slot setup, but because of what was discussed above, I will be moving the location.

Sell just the sensor? I too will be changing the location of the maf. 1. Because of reasons mention and 2 to get rid of all the silicon couplings. Ugly and potential leaks.
