I believe you can pick them up at auto zone as well. I had one freeze up on me and I ended up replacing both. I'm 99% sure it was from auto zone, which is prolly cheaper than a dealer( unless you know somebody like me that works for one ;) )

Yup, AZ has them. They come two in a pack along with boots and some grease. Make sure you get all the crud out of the caliper and clean it well.
New sliders in a rusty caliper= :bonk:

Okay then, 2nd question, how do I go about repairing a frozen rear caliper? Do I need to rent/buy the Ford "rear brake tool"? I've done the fronts many times, but never the rear...thanks for the help Jason et al!~!!! :thumb:

I bought a rebuilt rear calpier at O'Rileys for $34 + core. Comes with new slider pins as well - but no grease (it's cheap anyway). Might be a good option if both are toast in your case.

Can't go wrong for that little coin. J- if you want to salvage your old ones you can use a dremel or the like with a soft cleaning attachment and ream out the gunk/rust in the slider hole. This can be done with the caliper still on the car so there would be no need for the brake piston tool, although it is a good and cheap investment for your tool collection :thumb:

You can buy the rear caliper brackets, it includes the slider pins with boots, for almost the same price or a few bucks more as the slider pins kit.

Depends which tool you get. There's a version of it, "The Cube" that may people dislike. It works, but it's a bit of a PITA. It clips on to a 3/8" rachet, and fits the grooves of the caliper piston. You have to press it in and turn at the same time.

It has yielded many a bloody knuckle in it's use, however, ;)

Yes, its a brake caliper tool kit.

For $30, u can rent it and return it or keep it with a lifetime warranty, with receipt of course.
