Will my slicers fit on my Thunderbird SC? I know the slicers are for a FWD and the SC is RWD.

they are the same bolt pattern IIRC if that what you mean. Th offset might be wrong for the s/c though, they fit the sho though:cool:

I've seen SC wheels on SHOs before, with no issues... I'd assume it works the same the other way around.. Let us know how it goes!

not necessarily, fwd wheels IIRC usually have a larger offset which will put the wheel further in the wheel well. Since thats the case a s/c wheel can fit a sho and stick out of the wheel well but a sho rim might not fit a s/c as it can scrub the spring mount, or cause steering scrubbing under hard turns.

well ****! I guess I will have to use a SC wheel from my snow tire set. See what I did was..... I drove the SC to work one night and it started to snow, I had no idea it was going to snow that night, I didn't make it out of the parking lot before I hit a curb and trashed a wheel. So basically I can't drive the SC till I switch out the wheel. And since I don't like the tiny tires on the SC AND I have white slicers (white SC) with the right size tires I thought a swap would be cool. But not if they don't fit.

Oh well guess I shouldn't drive the SC for a while.... I drive too fast in that thing anyway. Can't imagine what a SHO is like with boost... cause that 3.8 with boost is a religious experience :3gears:

Thanks

you can give it a shot, just swap them on and let the car down slow and watch the clearances, then once its down turn the wheel lock to lock while watching the front tires (youll need two people) and see if it looks ok.

I use T-Bird SC Coupe wheels for my winter wheels on my '94 ATX. So no problem there.

The Thunderbird SC coupe wheel is 16X7 with an offset of 39mm. The SHO 16X6 slicer wheels have an offset of 42mm. Both share the same hub centric size. Because the SHO wheel is an inch narrower, I don't see an issue with the SHO wheel on your SC.
