I just picked up a set of slicers for my '89, however the center caps are really dull. Tried to paint them with some generic silver metallic paint but they don't look right. Any readers know the proper color or paint code, or would the Ford dealer be able to help? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Where I work we use all different colors of silver paint. I know that there is a color that wll match pretty good, but I can not think of the right color. Keep in mind if you find one that is the right color but to dull, there are glossy clear coats that may help.

I saw those aluminum polished ones. Is there any way to polish the aluminum and then clear coat it? If so, wouldn't that cut down on shinning the ever so high mantenece polished aluminum?

If so, I might be doing this very very soon.

John, I really like your slicers! I'd try to polish my weavers, but it seems like that would be very hard to cover all of the area.

Where did you all get your rims chromed/polished? I'm in Utah and I don't think a chroming place like that exists.
Thanks,
Rem
