Got to tell you guys, this isn't for the weak hearted. The new system being finished as you read this is most likely the loudest to bless the back of our trunks in the ages of the SHO. Pics and readings are soon to follow..If you got bass in the trunk and you know it, let me know what you're pushing.

Toy list--

3 12" Memphis M3
2 6" Memphis M3
2 4.25 Memphis M3
2 Aluminum Tweets Memphis M3
1 Stinger 1000 CCA dry cell battery
1 600/2 Stetsom amp
1 7K6D Stetsom Class-D amp
Flush paneled in trunk for a 6" round port through the top of box leading to the rear deck and venting out of the speaker grill
Red LED lights in trunk flushed in behind lexan sandblasted with SHO logo with yamaha logo blasted in piece on trunk

Also put a HD light set in headlamps. REDICULOUSLY BRiGHT!

pics links soon to come and maybe some video

What can I say? My single Pioneer Premier 12" SPL2002 powered by an older Fosgate 501 BD in a prefab Memphis box hit 138.9db with the back seat in place using Clint Eastwood by The Gorillaz.

In my old '95 I had 2 15in Kicker CompVR series subs, driven by a class D 2kw Kicker amp, all kicker component speakers driven buy a 150x4 amp, and a pioneer head... It was pretty darn loud... I got sick of it though, to heavy, took up trunk space... etc...now I just roll with one 12 ;)

Sounds like a kick ass system though!

Your setup sounds awsome. Im sure its loud.!

Pioneer DH-8000E head unit
Pioneer 760W Amplifier mounted on the strut tower
12" Sony xplod woofer in matched, sealed box
It thumps, however, I think I am killing my alternator again.

Mine in the sig. more than loud enough for me, the hard part is working out the random vibrations in a 17 year old car. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be though.

Sounds loud, can't wait to hear how many dB's it'll push.

There was a guy down here with two 15s in a big ass box in his SHO. And I think kaoticSHO had two 15s in a big bandpass box or something a while back.

iv got 2 kicker 12's and a 1600 watt infinity amp, with the 1.2 farad cap, and thats not enough my stuff still dims. It hit a tad over 143 db with a regular stock interior and me just throwing the stuff aimlessly in the trunk lol. Its plenty for me I dunno if id want more the sho crys for its mommy every time I play music, unless my trunk is open then shes quite but that rattling comes right back when i shut the trunk lid.

eh... I have 2 JL 10W1s pushed by an Alpine MRP-T350, it's plenty loud for me!

My wife's 95 is about to have 2 JL 10W3s pushed by a Cadence 700Wrms somethingorother amp. I estimate it's gonna be REALLY loud.

I put a whole box of dynomat extreme in the trunk. Looking to solve the spoiler rattle that I remember from the last system. Bad thing is I think the fiber glass bolts in side have let go. Shouldn't be to hard to redo the fiber glass though. Got some 1/8" rubber mat that I was going to place inbetween the spoiler and the trunk lid. Should dampen the spoiler sound completely. Last time I put furniture wedges under it :thumb: The kick panels just got finished last night so all the components are finished. They all run through that Stetsom 600/2 with my clarion comp deck I had from my older system which only lasted about 4 months before I beat them to death at a car audio comp. Last system only push 138.4 dB with a top of the line meter. Lose alot of sound in the trunk so this new port should allow the cabin to be over run.

I didn't lose anything in because of the trunk. It's all in the setup. Buddy of mine at the same competition had 2 12"s and 2 10"s (alpine Type Rs) run off two seperate class D amps in the back of a camry, and he was only able to hit 136db, after I tweaked it for him. His first run was 133. And like I said, my single 12 in a prefab box with a relatively small amp would've hit 140 if I would've remembered to turn the sub level up on my head unit or used a test tone instead of music. It's all in the setup and equipment used. From my slightly experienced point of view, that setup should net you somewhere around 145db with a test tone....if the subs survive.

With NO dynomat except on the back of the license plate, I had almost no rattles. I did run some foam weather stripping around the edges of my spoiler, though, and that was all that was needed. Though watch the tar welds on the trunk lid....they tend to bread easily with high SPL..
