Should I blast em?

My motor mounts that is... to remove the paint, before I urethane the crap out of em...

Just wondering if the paint on them would hurt the adhesion... not sure how much this might shrink.. ??

I certainly would. Then blast em with self etching primer....then eurethane the crap out of em.

1. I wash them in the parts washer if they are really dirty.
2. Glass bead cabnet so they are shiny new.
3. Modify and paint.
4. Install for the last time. (mine will not break):evilgrin:

Well I don't have a cabinet, but was considering getting one, so I could maybe prep a few intakes or something in the future... and I guess one thing I was wondering is how to get the paint off down between the rubber and inside of the 'cup' on the front mount.. and figured blasting it was the only way...

So 91... you urethane, then paint on top of it? I assume waited a week or so to let it cure? I got this stuff yesterday, trying to let it get up to room temp.. :) awful cold when they dropped it off. :)

If you're going to do it, do it right and blast them clean.

Urethane will stick to the paint just fine. The problem is how long the paint will stick to the steel.
