I was thinking about having ShoSource port my intake......any thoughts? If I do go that route I was going to do the stage 3. Anyone have any experience with this? I've talked to a couple people and they don't feel that it will really give me any major performance improvement. I do have to admit that having the tanks and everything painted sure is pretty!

Would getting the stage 3 be worth it? If so why? Or should I do like the stage one and just get it painted?

I would match it with BBB's as well. The BBB's are good for 10hp above 4k. Porting/Extrude honing is good for around 10hp.

You could do the heads with a dremel tool and playdough.

Out in front!
stuff it in the port then cut away to keep aluminum flakes from getting in the combustion chambers. Best you could do is gasket match tho.

The ported intake is one of those mods that you don't see its full potential unless it is matched with BBB and gasket matching. I wouldnt recomend going crazy on the heads.....just use the gasket as a template to match them to the intake ports. If you search there are some pretty good write ups detailing the procedure.

According to Nick Chrimes, EH'd intakes are good for 3hp, and about 10tq. Matching it with heads, cams, BBBs, you'll have some noticable gains (I don't know the number). Or you could get an 05-09 Mustang GT, throw a JLT on it with a tune and gain 25whp ;).

Key point being the TUNE :)

All of these mods do very little, until you start playing with the A/F mixture.
