I am not sure What to think about those guys yet. I had ordered a set of stage 1 cams from them, and it took them 5 weeks to get them out to me. I was stunned. Granted, if they had told me they were on back order or something like that I would have not cared...but they made no attempt to contact me in refrence to my order...Problem is If I want performance parts, I have to deal with them...

What I find funny is: first, I've never heard of a Doug Lewis built SC setup blowing up, yet you hear of SS problems often. Doug Lewis has an SC ATX running n/p. Finally, you see SS posting in other parts of the forum, but they won't respond here... *scratches chin*, very interesting.

Count the ratio to Doug's S/C Kits to SHO Shop Kits out there. We've sold more kits in 6 months then Doug has ever sold since introducing his kit. I think a better questions would be, "How many ATX Transmission has Doug been though"? :D

I don't even feel this type of "statement" is worthy of a reply, nor am I on here to even get involved in a "*******" contest. Statements and comments like the one above are among the reasons I even hesitate to come on forums like this in the first place. If you have comments regarding myself or SHO Shop, call me directly and tell me. I would be more than happy to hear what you have to say.

Tom, I have talked to you on the phone before, regarding a product, and you shrugged me off. The reason you see a higher ratio of your blower setup is because Doug installs the setup himself, and you sell a DIY kit(well, kind of a kit). Granted, this can lead to installer/user error, but generally speaking, I have not heard of a motor failure due to Doug's setup, but I know of recurring problems even after dealer installed blowers were added to fresh blocks. (Fred's cam seals anyone?) As far as the ATX is concerned, the ATX user of his blower kit has had 1 tranny, Doug's. He is the best bar-none in rebuilding an ATX to be bulletproof. Do you offer a performance automatic, other than your best source, which you say is Ford? Or mainly, can you offer a better, more reliable alternative to Doug? You do not offer an ATX blower kit due to space, correct? I would not post these things without basis, that's just not how I am. It seems the main complaint of your establishment is that people are not getting their parts on time, or they are getting wrong parts, etc. Every vendor I deal with, whether it be summit racing, ford parts network, sho nut, etc. emails me a tracking number as soon as the item has shipped. They don't beat around the bush on parts availability, and every single one of those vendors gets rave reviews here on the forum. Don't give me a why us attitude, because, if this many people are jumping on your back, there's a reason for it. This forum does not have a negative attitude toward vendors. Just like you earn respect, you also earn distrust, and I think that's what is happening here. Whenever someone asks about buying from SS, the answer is, "buy through Sho Nut so you don't need to put up with SS's BS" So I challenge you Tom, make a mail-order consumer friendly operation that the BBB will approve of, and buyers will double. Take this as you will, but it is intended to be constructive criticizm.

Hey, don't get me back in the middle of this... :)
Personally, I'm not convinced my 95's problems were't cold-weather related with the long breather tube kit freezing up. We'll see, if SOMEDAY I get my car back.

FWIW, I have yet to see Doug on the forums, period. This is not a slam against Doug, just an observation. I think what's important is that SHO Shop, while having a less than stellar rep in the past, has made great strides to address customer service issues. With the SHO being a dead nameplate, and people slamming SHO Shop (one of the primary vendors out there for us, folks), how long do you think it'll be before SHO Shop says "F*** It" and moves on to clients who aren't still bashing them for stuff that happened in the past?

Do mistakes happen? Yes (to me too). Is it frustrating? Yes. Does ANOTHER public bitch session help anything? No. These topics that start up because of ONE person's comment and turn into everyone digging up the past just don't work for any of us.

I know EVERY single SHO Vendor out there has had problems of some kind in the past year, if you look. I'm not going to get into specifics. I just hate how one of the biggest ones gets 99% of the BS backlash all the time, especially when it's from the past.

And Kirk, think before you call me an ass-kisser. :)

I wounldt say that on here Fred :) nor do I personally have an issue with the SHO SHOP. My post was my IMHO and wasnt menat as a bash to TOM. if it was taken that way sorry Tom not my intention.

But since Fred mentioned Doug not being here on the forum, I would like to know when the last time SHO SHOP was at a convention?

Anyway im locking this now before it gets out of hand.
