SHo's running weird...

Ok, well its been doing this for a while now. I'm just worried if its causing damage.

Well, the car runs GREAT when its cold (Temp at just above L or just below). Its usually like this on the highway or long roads with no lights. The car will just pull AWSOME, everything running great.

Its just when the gauge gets up to R and sometimes the O... I know its normal, but this is when the car starts acting weird. IT won't idle right, the oil light comes flickering on and sometimes is solid red. (BUT, i did change the RB's about 8k ago. This problem as always been there, before and after changing the RB's).

With the temp at R, the light will come on at about 1050 or so. So i just hold the throttle at about 1500 or so. Not really a big deal, but sometimes is a pain cause i need 3 feet. lol

But the car will idle at about 1000 or 950 or so when its cold to about L and the light WILL NOT come on.

I just don't know what it could be.

Don't mind the ABS light. I still need to find a sensor...

Pull the codes dude.

And get a real oil PSI gauge to confirm or deny the possible low oil PSI.

It might be a bad oil pressure sendin unit, or it really could be low pressure.

As for the running rough.... pull the codes! :biggrin:

There are no codes. CEL hasn't come on since i owned the car. lol (yes it does work, lol the light lights up when in run)

Could you try to explain how it is actually running? "not idling right" doesnt give me much to go on.:oogle:

It could be a lot of things.

MAF, TPS, IAB valve, ignition ralated, etc...

No it'll idle, maybe around 1200 or so when the temp is up and the oil light is on. I'm thinking the IAB. Just i gotta look into it.

You still need to confirm or deny the actual oil pressure readings.

Something is up with tyour KOEO codes. I think you got off one digit.

115 is actualy 157 (7 from the next line)
754 is actually 542

Then it looks like is repeats. Ill take a shot at them, but you NEED to re-read them to confirm these codes.

157: Mass Air Flow signal is/was low or grounded - MAF

No surprise there, youve got idle issues when hot.

542: Fuel Press Regulator Control solenoid/circuit fault - Power / Fuel Pump Circuits

Interesting, never, EVER seen that code pop up. Might want to look into that , and get a better idea of what might rip this code.

Now for KOER:

411: Idle speed system not controlling idle properly (generally idle too high) - ISC

Typically caused by a VAC leak. But considering your MAF code, I think the problem is either related to that, or a sticky IAB valve.

Ignor 538, 536 AND 521, you didnt do the test right :biggrin:

OK did them again.

Got 412 instead of 411.

I got a 116 too, but the motor was cold.

542 did not come up. Guess i counted wrong.

157 came up again.

So its safe to assume my IAC is bad, lol.

Next i need to do is check oil pressure.. Don't know how to check that..
