Short Block Weight????

Block only, no pan is kindof heavy - I'd estimate 75-100lb anyway. I remember trying to hold it while trying to thread the mini engine stand's bolts into the back of the damn thing. Hmm. Maybe a little more. If I think of it, I'll bring the scale out tomorrow morning & weight it.

Fred, if you're talking about the night you and I put the block on the stand, I'd say yeah, a bit more than 75-100. I'd think closer to maybe 150. Then again, I'm not a very good judge of distance or weight. All I remember is that sucker was HEAVY waiting for you and Linda to line up the bolt holes. thumbs_u

Bare block is 125 lbs if I remember right. The crank is about 45, figure in the rods/pistons, oil pump, etc.

I'd say pretty close to 200 lb.
