shooting antifreeze from rear of engine!!!!

ive ran into a majior problem on my 92 mtx...got home from work today and was steaming from under the hood...poped it and steam poured out from the rear of the engine and i seen antifreeze running out....so i let it cool off and added some alumaseal and some water and drove it like your suppose to to seal it.....temp was fine till i got home after sitting for a couple mintues then it started raising and raising till finally the system literally started boiling......fan never kicked on at all so i know my fans gone out....got under the car and its leaking from the engine itsself from what i can see.....im hoping its not a cracked head so dose anyone have any sugestions at all!!!??????

There is (if i remember correctly) a freeze plug on the block behind the rear header. Check that. Also, check your heater hoses.

today when i got home it was doing the same thing agin and i noticed a boiling sound from the rear of the engine today so i looked to see were from......and on the valve cover...in the insert for the left most plug wire there was a little pool of water so i pulled my plug wire and the plug well is literally a swimming pool!!!!!!!!! is this a bad valve cover gasket!!!!?????? or somthing else!!!!!????

I think you have a leak on one of the heater core lines, and when the system leaks, it's sprying onto the valve cover....

I'd fix the car before you drive it again...

finally had the time to tear into the black baby......fairlly easy fix it seemed until.......noone at any of the parts stores nor myself knew what this hose is......

...... i know its a heater hose of some sort becasue the rubber part hooks to a ****** on the block and the metal end hooks to a rubber hose that runs inside the firewall..... i found another hose that has numerous holes punched in it as well im not sure what it is at all ...........

You looking for the hose or the ****** part? If the hose, just go to an auto store and buy a replacement hose. You don't need to know the name of the hose, just the size and how long you need it. Most stores sell the hose by the foot for a pretty decent price. :thumb:

I had to custom make those suckers 2 years ago lol had the same prob... except for the pool in the spark plug well mine poured out the rear tho
