So I’m looking for a set of struts and lowering springs. I’d rather not go coilover cause that gets expensive quick. I was thinking of the KYB struts 235054 and 334325 but I can’t find lowering springs. I have seen chopping springs but in my opinion that’s my last option. Anyone got a set of lowering springs to fit these part numbers? If not any ideas that’ll work just as well. I have spent a lot of time trying to find info and can’t maybe a couple veterans can help

Moog Cargo coils and Monroe SensaTracs. Readily available online.

Moogs-

Gen 1 rear - CC839

Gen 2 front - CC858
Gen 2 rear - CC859

Preferred combo = Gen2 fronts with 1+ coil cut and Gen1 rears uncut.

I've got some NIB eibachs still in the box. They are overprices. Message me with for details. Also, have some NOS KYB's and Monroe's, but they can be had many places. I'll gladly sell them with the springs to try to make a better deal. Thanks

Do u prefer these to Tokico/Eibach combo?

You have the models for Monroes?
I found Monroe 71781 OESpectrum Premium Strut and Monroe 71780 OESpectrum Premium Strut.

I would say that the Tokicos were better responding struts. You just can't get them for many many years now. I wonder if they would even rebuild an old set under warranty? Most of the aftermarket struts are pretty not so hot performers but you have to find the best of what's left.

Tokico/Eibach is definitely the preferred combo but Tokicos have long been obsolete. I had Tokico/Moog on my 89 before my rears decided to crap out. Considering what is still available for the SHO, the Monroe/Moog is a really good option.

I would look for Monroe SensaTracs. They are the same part number but were replaced by the OE Spectrum. When I replaced mine last year I had O'Reillys order in the SensaTracs for me from another store.

I've got a set of tokicos and a set of konis. What happens when they crap out? Any option for inserts or just replace with monroes?

Koni will only rebuild if you have warranty. There are a couple of places that will do rebuilds but the cost of getting them rebuilt is more than what they cost new back in the day. Tom Fong was the last person I knew of that had a set rebuilt. I think they were in the $250ish per range.

Tokicos are garbage once they blow. I have 4 sitting in my shed right now. One bad front and one bad rear. I have no use for them.

I found the ford specialist site and under SHO parts there’s a row for tokicos on it maybe they have some laying around? Or they haven’t updated the site in a while but it was call for pricing.
