SHOCAGO.com - hacked

www.SHOCAGO.com is down right now it has been hacked and destroyed right before I left for the convention. It actually was hacked into for the first time a week earlier. Not sure if it was the same person hitting it again or not but I was able to fix it and change the password to a more secure one. So secure in fact that I was not able to remember it at the convention.

To make things even better the night before we woke up to leave for the convention we had a power surge down the street and the power was out all night. I then tried to turn on my computer before we left but it was fried and would not even turn on.

I am home now and trying to rebuild.

wow...!!! That really sucks ****. I hope the kid who hacked it lives near me. Gotta few annoyances i wouldn't mind pounding out of my bloodstream.

P.S. - I was thinking about running a backup server w/ minimal space just to cache all the posts and what-not (text only) so we can get back on our feet quickly if this were to happen again.

Ryan - was the password the same ole neno-humilating password from like 10 years ago?

I still have not heard back from the host yet, so its a waiting game. Ill keep you guys updated.

Neno, Thanks for the update. I stoped receiving regular emails from Alec, for a bit well... no wonder why, he has plenty on his plate

Well, back when I lost the backups from shocago, i'd start a fresh site (although, that didn't always work out back in the unstable days.. :dig:

If things don't work out soon, we'll just move the site elsewhere, i guess. I think i might have a idea...
