Quick question..best to go thru Curva direct, or is there a better source, IYO? Also, better to get new TPMS at this too.

I like them, how do they look on your SHO?

I have only put one of them on for now because I was in the process of adding a drain plug to the PTU and cleaning up some rusty rotors. As soon as I get both rear tires mounted and finish up with all the other things I’m doing I’ll get a good picture and post. But, I really like the way they look on the front, I’m just not sure about the center cap. It looks cool but should a SHO be sporting a Super Snake logo?

If you like the snakes, that's all that matters. Read you posts about tapping your PTU. Nice bro. Will be looking forward to the pics.

Realized I never posted in this thread. Went with Enkei TSR-X 20x9 with Pirelli 245/45r20's. Originally wanted the AR924's that a lot of you guys have but they were sold out, these are a very similar design and I'm really happy with them.

How hard is it switching wheels with the tire pressure monitoring system
I have a 2010 and a 2011 SHO. 2010 used band type TPMS. 2011 uses the stem units. I have my 2010 rims on my 2011 and get TPMS error because of this fact. So, I'm installing stem sensors shortly after I pop the bead and screw them in. Plan to have both types of sensor in the wheel because I'll be swapping wheels between both cars. Anyone know of other differences from on the 2011 from the 2010? I noticed a different rear dome light, trunk closing strap, brighter and clearer navigation screen. Guessing there are more upgrades or design tweaks from their first model year.

You might just have to make the 2011 recognize the 2010 band tpms. The bands should still work on the 2011 if the 2011 learns them. With aftermarket wheels on my 2010 I have stem tpms and they work great just had to make the car recognize them. Likely now, my stock 2010 wheels with bands will throw the Tpms light bc the car is now set to the different tpms. So make your 2011 recognize your 2010 bands, see if it works, before you replace what could be perfectly working bands.

I'm headed to the dealer to see if they can do just that. Hoping the 2010 band sensors and the 2011 TPMS are on the same frequency.

I’m curious if it’s a slightly different frequency but works all the same once the car learns them. For instance my car was synced with my OEM wheels. It didn’t pick up the new stem tpms until it was programmed.

Dealer confirmed 2010 band clamps not compatible with 2011 stem TPMS.
Different Freq.(actually the same 315mhz)

Interesting. Hmmmm, I wonder if that’s actually true or just your specific dealer telling you that. Please forgive my skepticism......like what does their explanation even mean? Sounds like the answer to asking if you could run two tires with 2010 bands and the other 2 tires with 2011 stems.....and they say no bc it’s not the same frequency....now that would make sense.

If it were me, I’d make one more stop, at a local garage, tell them I put new tpms in my wheels and the car needs to learn them, don’t mention anything about stems or bands. I’d be curious if they magically work.

I mean, how can my 2010 learn bands and stems? They don’t make stems for OEM band 2010 models. So by default the stems my car learned are not for 2010. It has to be a different frequency and it worked. I would be inclined to believe my 2010 can’t read stems....rather than 2011 can’t read bands. Lol idk sounds confusing.

I'm getting 2011 compatible stem sensors installed right now and keeping the 2010 band sensors on too.
That way, I can move the rims between my 2010 and 2011. They should be able to coexist.

Dealer says 2010 band sensor not compatible with 2011. Talked to a tire guy and he says he can reprogram the OBDII computer to see them, maybe. Guys at TPMS.COM said NO.Don't have BOTH sensors on each wheel. It will cause confusion when the sensors transmit.
