I have a 2010 sho with 100k on it. Last night when I was pulling through an intersection my car reved quick and I dismissed it as ice since in Wisconsin we have had cold and rain. Well this morning it did the same thing but a bit longer. Anybody have any ideas what it could be? I just had the tranny fluid changed 3 months ago. Thanks

I have had several automatics that will slip out of gear when the fluid is low. When you rev it a bit, it bulids up some pressure, and kicks back into gear. Check the fluid level first, since that is super simple.

The next question is if the toms bounce off the rev limiter, or if they are steady. When the rpms come down is it harsh?

A slipping clutch will cause the engine Rpms to bounce.

A default to 5th gear will usually set a DTC but the rpms will be limited and the car will "lack power."

Either way, check the oil hot.

They shot up and than droped hard with a clunk. Felt like I hit a wall.
