sho swap

new to the site, old sho lover, never owned one but helped friends want to buy a few, wondering if anyone has a seen a sho v6 in a rear wheel drive car like a mustang or a ranger, i want to put one in a ranger but im not sure on the trans issue, what will fit and work, has to be a stick, any one ever seen one?

Ford actually had a prototype "ranger SHO" and a XR4.

The swap has been done a few times and there was a link to a clean swap on ShoTimes, but it like many tripod links is dead.

also there was a mustang with a SHO engine in it.
it was a a/c cobra and i believe its in the northeast SHO club somewhere (pics i mean) from what i hear its a fast lil bugger seeing how light those cars were... the engine looked real nice under the hood also.

Yeah something about the curves of the cobra....then look under the hood and see all the "snakes"

im really looking how to do it, as far as trans, i heard the bell housing off a areostar with a stick will bolt to the engine then make the bell housing bolt to the trans, weather a t5 or tremic, it is definately something i want to build!

i would search for another rwd trans to stick in there. i think what is it the t56 is a 6 speed and holds up better.
im not an expert on this so i dont know really

a t56 is like $3000, i have a tremic 3550 in my mustang with a 400 hp 347 and it takes abuse great, theres also a tremic tko which is good to around 600 ft lbs, im not really looking to make tons of power, i just want it to be unique so ill probably use what ever i can get to work.
