I have two SHO's right now one with a sunroof one without the one with the sunroof is junk because of several body and frame problems. But what i want to do is put the sunroof in the one that doesnt have one. Is that a hard task to do if anyone has ever tryed that before please give me tips. If not anyone know any place in or around MN/WI that could put in a power sunroof in for a good price.

it's probably not the easiest thing to do in the world.

these guys were found via google search in MN

http://www.ac-mn.com/products/sunroof3.html

i just typed in 'sunroof installation MN'

the cool thing is that they give you a 36 month/36,000 mile warranty with their installation. may wanna go this direction with a brand new unit and just use the sunroof controls from your clapped out SHO.

The pro body shops pull the glass and chop the roof through the pillars and change the whole roof. Sounds like a big project to do that.
When I was getting my seal at Sunroofdoctor.com, I think they had a category for non-factory sunroofs, so you could look at that. They would have to have an install that makes sense.

Enjoy your NON Sunroof car. I'd prefer not to have one. Aftermarket ones will almost always leak at some point.

I have swapped in a factory sunroof in a non sunroof car before (not an SHO though). It was a royal pain in the ass but it worked perfectly. What I did was cut the roof out of the old car and then trim the outer roof panel down until I had a 4" lip all the way around the sun roof opening. I then removed the inner roof support from the car I was putting it into and then cut a hole 1/4" larger than the sun roof in the outer roof panel. My dad an I then riveted the sunroof panel through the 4" ****** to the car with the ****** on the inside of the car. We used the same kind of rivets that you use on the skin of an airplane (my dad was an aircraft mechanic) which are not pop rivets. I thine filled rivets and the edge of the roof were I cut the opening and painted it.
