Hi all,

I traded my 2013 limited for a 2016 SHO. Both cars came with 20 inch wheels. I feel like in the SHO, I am constantly 'fighting' the steering wheel. Can someone explain to me why the steering feel is different from the limited?

If it has the PP it has a heavier on center feel to help keep it steady at high speeds. I noticed this when i went from a 13’ pp to a 15’ no pp. Steering is easier on my no pp but shakey beyond 100mph

PP means Performance Package

The Limited had hydraulic power steering, the SHO has electrically assisted power steering. Totally different systems.
As suggested, you can change that using Forscan.

Are you sure about that? I am pretty sure all 2010+ Taurus cars are EAPS.

I thought they all had electric steering as most new cars do anyway. Not sure why just the sho would have electric, would rather have a manual rack so you can feel the road

dunno. I have found SELs that even had EPAS. And my 2013 owner's manual makes no differentiation between SEL/Limited/SHO just says in the fluids section "your 2013 Ford Taurus is equipped with Electronic Power Assisted Steering and does not utilized hydraulic power steering fluid"
