SHO Source Turbo kit?

First time SHO owner and looking to run a turbo set up. Is the SHO Source the best set up for the money. I'm not making a drag car just give it some more power when I want to play. My SHO has 44,000 original miles on but it's the automatic transmission. let me know what you think or people I should contact. thanks I'm a new person on the forum and I thought I was the only guy out there who loved these cars it's nice seeing people who are in to these rare breeds.

I was originally going to do Vortech kit but can't find anyone who has a kit so I'm thinking about the turbo. worried about the heat issues that turbos tend to make.

Hi we got your message but you you didn't pick and your voicemail was full.

The kit is designed for the MTX, it would have to be modified for the ATX. It is good for a decent amount of power and still being streetable.

The issue you will have is the ATX. It is weak and will need to be built up before you do any boost. It may not last long otherwise.

Do you still have the Vortech kits available that was my original plan for a simplistic set up i have a V1 on my SVT Cobra and love the reliability from the system and no heat soak issues. thanks I'm going to be ordering tons of suspension upgrade parts from you along with brakesome.

In order to convert your automatic SHO to a manual transmission SHO, you will need an entire SHO MTX. With that in mind, and the fact that MTX SHOs are not horrendously expensive, consider putting your new Turbo on the MTX parts car, and enjoy your low mileage automatic transmission car, as it is.

We have never offered the kit.

What's going fellas.... I have a 95 SHO Manuel and I'm also thinking about installing a turbo as well, but I'm thinking about just getting a universal T3 or T4, doing all my plumbing myself and looking for a programmable EUC New or Used . Any suggestions?

I suggest you just get the SHO Source kit. There are not a lot of Turbo SHOs out there for a reason, and I think it's because it's difficult to fabricate the pipes for, or predict all of what parts you will need. If you have a lift, are really good at welding pipe, and have done a custom turbo install before, then yeah you're probably fine.

I've got an old SHO Shop Vortech kit on my shelf that I'd like to play with, but a toddler in the house makes it hard.
