i had a mechanic put a clutch in my 92 sho mtx
i realized it was running rough. after looking the car over i realized that the plug going into my dis module that is closest to the firewall had been severed and a piece of the dis module broken off i found a sho in the salvage yard and took the plug and install it on mine but the car still skips it's just constantly back fires at idle a ford mechanic said the dis module will not make it skip like that i need help everybody is scared to work on it and they all call it junk

How did it run BEFORE the clutch work was done? The DIS module needs a heat sink grease applied sparingly to the mating surface. The DIS also needs a good ground to the intake, remove the screws and clean them and anything they touch. Also loosen, then re tighten the bolts securing the cross-over tube, the ground goes thru them. If you have access to a timing light, verify the timing.
