Need to go to bed but quick answer is that you can order the tunes by calling them and if you don't have the device, they will ship it to you with the tunes included. Also, by email, they can send you additional tunes for different octane and you can download 3 different stages at a time in the device (and change them on the device whenever you want). If you decide, for example, to load stage 2 octane 93 in your car and you go to a gas station and they only have 87... you can always change the tune. You need to have your engine stopped, connect the device under steering and follow instructions... it takes about 5 minutes to re flash the car... You can also always return the car to stock, regardless of the three tunes you have put on your device. Since I always run on octane 94, I have stages 2-3 and 4 on my device but always keep it on stage 4. If ever I go to a gas station without octane 94, I can always put it back to stock and put whatever octane gas they have without affecting the engine. Worst case, you can also run the car on lower or different octane than tune requires, but it should be exceptional and in that eventuality, make sure not to wake up the turbos.steve142857
Thanks for your very comprensive answer. I've been to the Livernois web site and read about the programmer used to modify the stock settings. Can a person just order this thing, plug it in and choose the "Stage" of mod and that's that or do you have to physically go to their shop for custom settings that they input based on A/F on a dyno?
If you make the change are you then forever committed to high octane or can you switch back and forth from 87 to 93 based premeditated abuse?
Thanks in advance!
Bonne nuit!
